So where in your garden would you plant a Callicarpa 'Profusion'?

I found the most beautiful specimen of this plant at a local nursery, just loaded with berries, so gorgeous! But I've never had one before & I'm finding conflicting info on the internet. So, all you NW gardeners, where would you site one of these gems in your garden???

Many thanks in advance for suggestions.

I actually just planted one in my backyard behind our pond. I'm working on what to plant next to it. They are so pretty and from what I've heard attract birds, which eat the berries.

Well, mine is planted on a southwest corner of my house and shares the area with a Japanese Snowbell, azaleas and other misc shrubs. It's now 7-8 yrs old and is about 8' high. I keep its shape and height by pruning in early spring.
It was slightly lanky at first, but has really filled out the last 3 years.

I use some cuttings for Christmas decor but leave the rest so the birds have some.... in case of a hard winter.

I have mine planted in full sun above my pond and rock garden. It's along a fence between two firethorns(Gnome and Mojave)and a flowering quince(Cameo). Great winter colors all.

Probably would look good against bluish or lavender/purplish conifer foliage. Cut a sprig with fruit and take it to some good local independent garden centers, hold it next to plants for sale there, that seem like they might be suitable candidates.
