Name these squash

In some random mixup the squash I thought I planted ended up not being the squash which grew (at this point I'm assuming my summer squash order turned in to a random assortment by my seed company). I just harvested 45 lbs of what I beleive are winter squash but I don't know the variety of any of them. Can you name them?

Reminds me of a gourd mix. How wide are the individual boards in the photo and by count, how many squash make up the 45 pound harvest?

Each squash is about 3-6 inches in diameter. Vines were trailing (some up to 20'). Each squash is about 1lb.

    Sure look to be gourds.

Cut some of the larger ones and see if there is much meat, won't hurt to cook one up.

A rose by any other name smells the same, so these squash will taste the same even if the varietal name is unknown.

If you haven't done so already, you might want to post your question and picture in the Vegetable Gardening forum at Garden Web:
    http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/cornucop/

Also this site looks like it has some pictures of what you posted: http://whatscookingamerica.net/squash.htm

Let us know what you find out.

The photos on that website are clearly recognizable varieties.

The image above looks like what you might get from some volunteer seedling squash. It doesn't seem like scottcha would be able to reproduce the results next year unless that seed company carries them as a regular item.

Just bought some winter squash at "The Barn" near Portland today. Their bin of decorative gourds looked very similar to those pictured above.
