| Sad, but it had to be done as the weather is just too cool now for ripening the summer vegetables outside. We waited as long as possible...
Snip, snip & squash plants cut back for composting. Snipped away & filled two five gallon buckets + a large bowl with unripe tomatoes. Each of us had a scissor in one hand & a container on the ground next to us. Snip & carefully put the tomatoes into the bucket. Snip away more tomato plant & pile it nearby. The sunshine helped make it a pleasant afternoon chore, but I'm still a bit sad that summer is over. I sure wish we'd have a longer summer season here in the Seattle area. |
