What's the Pierce Conservation District and what is their annual meeting like? I guess what I am asking is would they mind someone from PDX attending?

I love Salatin. I just finished reading his book--Holy Cows & Hog Heaven, and it was pretty eyeopening. Honestly, though, I liked his section in Omnivore's dilemma even more. It almost brought tears to my eye.

Thanks for posting, greenelephant. :)

Gosh, I got so excited when I heard this news that I made a mess of typos in my first post.

Pierce Conservation District Helps landowners manage natural resources on forest and agricultural land, riparian areas, fish & wildlife sites and other types of rural and urban areas. www.piercecountycd.org/

The event is free and anyone can attend from anywhere. I asked Monty whom I'd called, "What if a thousand people show up?" He said fine. The more the merrier.

The event is in the Cafeteria of the Puyallup High School http://schools.puyallup.k12.wa.us/high/puyallup/
