Any experience with Pacific Giant Delphiniums?

I live in Vancouver, WA.

I am thinking about planting Pacific Giant Delphiniums - King Arthur. They will be near my house on the South side. Full sun all day long.

Does anyone have experience with these? I have a few questions:

1) How tall will they get? I want to use them at the back of my foundation planting.

2) When do they start blooming and when do they end blooming?

3) King Arthur specific - I need a purple/violet more than a blue color. Purple closer to red (rather than blue), but not too red. Anyone have experience with the color of this cultivar?

I grew some of these a long time ago when I lived in Beaverton, OR. They were spectacularly beautiful spring flowers. I do recall staking a few of the taller flower stalks as they leaned over a bit especially in the rain. They were as I recall somewhat fussy plants requiring some attention to soil fertility and declining with age. Also quite vulnerable to slugs. This is not a carefree plant but the climate in the PNW is good for them. The folks at Schreiner's Iris Gardens often feature these plants in their awesome spring flower bed displays.
