Happy Growing in 2011

Let's hope that 2011 has a lovely warm spring, a sunny summer with adequate rain, and an autumn long enough to let us harvest our veggies in decent weather.

But my real hope is that everyone has a happy, healthy and joyous New Year.

While the sentiments are certainly lovely and it may be possible for the other two seasons to turn out that way summers here pretty much never have adequate rain.

Except for established specimens of drought-adapted plants, located on suitable planting sites.

If your hope for an irrigation-free, monsoonal summer comes to pass do buy some lottery tickets and hope to win those as well. You might be on a winning streak.

Happy New Year Dottie, let's hope we have a better (growing) year this year. The long range forecast looks very familiar :(.
I'm going to start a lot in the greenhouse rather than direct sowing, hopefully it will give things a head start.
