WANTED: Shrub/bush info needed

My husband brought me part of a bush that in the spring has little mini white blooms that look exactly like babies breath, but I have seen the same bushes and they can get several feet wide and about 5-6 feet high. They have small leaves and the flowers hang on very small thin what looks almost like strings. Anybody have a clue as to what this could be? My husband thought spirea, but the flowers are different than what I found in pictures.

Does it look like this? Each little flower looks like a mini rose (to me) and the now faded blooms appear to be hanging from threads. This pic was taken earlier this spring. I thought it was a double bridal veil spirea, but upon querying that, I get tons of different things. I never found the Latin Name.

If this is it, I will post the pic at Name That Plant Forum, and see if they can give us some better info on it.

Here's the pic (I hope)
