WANTED: Have You Seen This Plant?

Posted by Jeanne 6OH (My Page) on

I'm looking for Phacelia bipinnatifida, I've had it on my want list for some time without any hits and thought I might have better luck posting to this forum.

It's a woodland plant that has quite striking winter foliage, a very good picture is available at the Missouriplants site. Scroll down to the third picture. It's similar to Virginia Waterleaf, but the variegation is splashed completely across the leaves to the edges.

If you happen to run across this plant while out traipsing in the woods this winter, please keep this humble request from the Ohio Valley Exchange page in mind. ;)

I'll check the box to forward replies to my email, but I've found that it doesn't always work. Feel free to send a private email at any time.

Thanks so much,
Jeanne

RE: WANTED: Have You Seen This Plant?

Hi Jean
I recognize this plant by the picture, had no idea what it was called though. I've seen it in the woods in my area. I don't have any myself but if I come across any on my son's farm, I'll snatch you a few...
best wishes
Mary
