Promix, central Ohio

I had heard that only one nursery in Columbus,Ohio had promix, so I did some calling around. The nursery that had it was $35.00 a bale. Well, then I called United Landmark in Lancaster,Ohio and they have the 3.8 cuft. compressed bales for $20 and the fungicide for $21. I guess that is cheap.

What is it going for in the rest of the ohio valley?

I have yet to ever even see the 'bales' of Promix that all the winter sowers speak of so much, but then I don't frequent many nurseries in the winter, as most, if not all close for the season.

I don't even see it in the local big box stores here in southern Indiana at any time of the year....sigh. Hmmmmmm....

Well United Landmark is actually like a feed store. Kinda of a mom and pop tractor supply. They looked at me funny when I bought it, I only took two bales, the girl said oh...people usually take a whole skid. I cant imagine who that would be?

Sue. Home depot should have it or can order it for you.

Boulevard Gardens on Olentangy River Road here in Columbus stocks Pro-Mix. I have purchased it there in the past, although I do not remember the price. I don't use it that much as I prefer Miracle Grow for winter sowing. I've seen it around. Try Oakland Nursery or Strader's Garden Center by phone and see what the scoop is.

I usually buy my Promix at Home Depot. They carry it year round here..
