Well I too am getting ready for spring. I am trying to put together a spring plant swap. I have never been to one , so this will be a challange. My local garden club has offered some input A local church has been kind enough to tell me how they ran theirs. I have had nothing but positive feed back and encouragement. That is the scary part, I must now stew and brew and fret till I decide how to make it happen.
I am holding this at my church in canton ,ohio. There is nothing to worry about. I must just be a worrier. Between worring I am transplanting my houseplants, devideing my cactus, and checking out the seed books. Pam M

Right now I'm getting mulch down in the beds in front of the house. I'm also putting some in the walkways between the daylily blocks. I'm also going to put down some landscape mat between some of them and see which I like best. I need to spray out the early weeds in the daylilies and get the rest of the pre-emergent down.

My daughter and I potted up around 200 pots of oriental and asiatic lilies Saturday. I'll sell them at the local farmer's market, local festivals and the open garden at the farm.

There's plenty around here to do. I try to get some of the heavy stuff done before it starts getting hot. I don't sweat unloading bulk mulch out of the truck in Feb. and Mar. nearly as much as I do in June and July!

Hi,

I know, its tough! I have so many plans of what I want to do in the garden this summer. I've been researching many plants online, planting lily bulbs, seeds in containers, repotting houseplants and trying to decide what I want to plant where. I have many bulbs coming up and getting ready to bloom. It's going to be 60 this weekend and I'll be outside pruning and cutting grasses down!
