Looking for Free trees

I just moved to a location after living and gardening for 20 + years. I miss my surroundings. The place we bought is barren next to the house. I was wondering if anyone has any sappelings that they dont need . I will gladly pay shipping

Check your local plant swap. Often, folks have trees at swaps for trading. Hope this helps!

Also, check the plant exchange forum here at the gardenweb. Folks there often will send extras for postage. Good luck.

If you're in Ohio, contact either your County Extension office or the Soil and Water Conservation office and ask about state nursery tree packs. The aren't free, but cheap enough. They'll be for the most part bare root. But you need to act quickly as I believe the delivery date is near.

Paula

Congratulations on your move and I hope you feel at home there soon! If you join the National Arbor Day Foundation ($10 for six mo.) you get 10 free trees with free shipping. They are very small 6-12" but you can choose from a number of packages... flowering, oak, spruce, etc. Check it out at:

God Bless You
