itching for some planting!!

I will be doing a garden for the first time at this house, ive prepped my soil, removed ROCKS and ROCKS and more good ROCKS.. never ending i tell ya! I am right on the Ohio river so its rocky. My mom has a garden every year and lives 2 doors over so it will be a little competition at least in my eyes hehehe I didn't do any seeds as this is my first year and want to start somewhat slow.. I am doing tomatoes, peppers (hot and bells) bush beans, cukes and possibly some other fun things that happen to catch my eye. I didn't go through all the testing or anything like that and letting it be a learning season for me. I might get a little more involved with testing and more stuff next year.. I have about a 20 x30 ft area that im working and more area can be utilized if i expand.

Wow! Sounds like a nice, big plot, and some really great plants. It's great your mom is right there to give you some comparison -- best of luck to you!
