CHOPTAG [Cincinnati Heirloom and Open Pollinated Tomato Associate Growers] is having its annual plant share meet on May 9. Always plenty of plants and good food [sort of like a church social pitch-in array of food.]

"The dates are set.

Our Plant Swap will be on Saturday May 9th starting at 12 noon.

Our 8th annual Taste Fest will be held on Saturday Aug 22nd starting at 1pm.

Both events will be held at our usual location, Paxton Ramsey Park in the Loveland, Ohio area.

Come prepared to have a good time, share tomato stories, eat good food and at the Taste Fest enjoy some of the worlds best tomatoes.

Remember, everyone is welcome, with or without plants/tomatoes. Just bring extra food.

Hey that sounds like FUN! What is a "normal" amount of plants to bring?

Normal? Hard to say. From zero to as many as you want to bring. Other than specific plants requested by CHOPTAGers, I usuall bring a couple of trays of this and that. Everyone tries to give away everything they bring so we really like folks who show up without plants so we can load them down. So if you read this and DON'T HAVE PLANTS but would like to drop by, please do [and if you just drop by you don't have to bring food.]

To one and all. Check the link below to see pictures of past events. That may give you an idea. You can also bring plants other than tomatoes. If you REALLY REALLY want to please everyone bring a basket full of those $100 a lb. steaks and grill them. :-) Not only do these folks know how to grow tomatoes they also know how to cook!

kterlep, looking forward to seeing you on May 9th. Do a Google search on CHOPTAG to find our Forum and find out some of the heirloom tomatoes you can request members bring to you at the meet.
