I have not been out there or in direct contact with Dr. Franko. I don't live too far from there and my family actually stopped by Miami U. last summer, but was too tired to search out the palms (sigh...). However, about a year ago I attended a lecture by Dr. Franko. He showed us slides of the palms and bananas at Miami U. They looked great. I am wondering how they will be this Spring as we had a prolonged period of cold, including many nights of below zero weather. Much colder than last winter. I would be curious to know as well, as my attempt at some of the plants he talked about did not survive (partially due to negligence on my part). Hopefully, I can get out there this summer (and find the palms : ))
