If you're in the Columbus, Ohio area on April 11th, 12th or 13th -- and you like a garden bargain -- hurry yourself down to DeMoynes perennial for some down-and-dirty deals.

4-cell packs of perennials for $1.39. I find DeMoynes is a little over-priced most of the year, but I always make it to the perennial sale.

The *next* weekend is the Wave petunia sale. I don't know those prices off the top of my head, but they're equally good.

It can be a little difficult to find them, but it's worth the effort: the address is 2500 Airport; it runs parallel to 670E out by the airport. You can spot the greenhouses from the freeway, then take the 5th avenue exit and wend your way back there.
