As I remember the only plants to worry (?) about are those under 6' and newly planted.
The rest will merely be subjected to light 'nature's pruning'.
FAR less damaging than say a hail storm, weed whip or dog chew.

They won't bother your perennials,just woody-stemmed shrubs and trees.Not sure about pine,but am guessing they prefer deciduous species over evergreens.

ok so woods shrubs would be 1 gallon size lavender,1 gallon size salvia,4 in pot of speria bush,4 in pot of wegelia bush and 6 in pot of butterfly bush. is that correct? i hope to plant them this weekend or by next wednesday.

guess i will be off to walmart to get some netting.
