The nusery where we bought the pink dogwood says it needs to be fed & will flower eventually. Planted 3 yrs ago & it grows fine...leafs out that is, but never a flower. It's 6'tall.Our white dogwoods have bloomed from the 1st...10 yrs ago & a lot of neighbors have pink trees & have never fed them Any ideas? TIA

Could it be the location? Since you said it's growing fine otherwise, it dosn't appear that it's not getting enough water. Have you checked for insect problems that may be damaging the blossoms before you see them?

Depending on the species of dogwood, it may need more time to develop fully and then it will bloom for you. See the link below for a short article on why trees sometimes won't bloom.

Thanks for the site. The pink dogwood is beside the 3 white ones,so in the same location.Maybe I need to yank this one & find a different variety. There's a dwarf lilac near it, planted last yr & only 18"high. It's so loaded with flowers, I propped the limbs.Thanks,again.PL
