Is it too late to direct sow Larspur seeds now?

I have many larkspur seeds that I didn't get around to direct sowing yet. Is it too late.?What is your experience with this - here in our Ohio Valley area?

PS - I have volunteers coming up now from last year.

I sowed some on April 1st, right before we had 5 nights of freezing temps, so they were a little slow to come up. The Bachelor's buttons and Dahlias I sowed at the same time came up much faster. It makes me think that Larkspur likes warmer soil.

Thanks for telling me your experience, Penny.
