| I'm looking for nurseries that have an extensive selection of heirloom tomatoes in the Cincinnati area. I'm familar with Evan's near Lebanon, but looking more for the heirlooms vs. hybrids. I just found a link for Funke's.com. They have most of what I need & the price is right. Anyplace else? Northeast of town would be even better, but no biggie. My own mater seedlings have developed a fungus and/or are diseased...so I need to replace pronto:(
Thanks! |

| You just missed out on the CHOPTAG PLANT SWAP in N.E. Cincinnati, we had it on May 8th. The CHOPTAG Pictures link doesn't have any recent pictures but should give you an idea about CHOPTAG. You do can a google search on CHOPTAG to learn about us. We always have a great time at the meets. |

| I ended up buying from Funke's. I may do the same next year. Great prices & great selection. 2 other nurseries very near there. Rahns(AJ?) has lots of herbs and an okay tomato selection. The 3rd didn't... |

| Yes, Funkes had a greata selection this year. Bought several myself. Another place that had quite a few heirlooms was Adopt-A-Plant. Their prices were lower than Funkes. They are more northwest, just east of Miami Whitewater Forest. |

| I just went to Jungle Jim's yesterday, they had quite an assortment of heirloom tomatoes (both 4 pack and 4" single pots for...was it $1.29 or $1.50 each?) They also had tomatillos, eggplant, and many different kinds of peppers as well as other veggies. |

| check out Findlay Market on Saturday morning...a vendor there had numerous heirloom tomato plants two weeks ago |

| Don't forget Marvin's Organic Nursery on Rt. 42 south of Lebanon. I get my tomatoes from him every year and he hasn't let me down, yet! |
