| Hi Marcia, 10am is fine with me... I have already potted: I have a shrub -I think it's called amsonia "Blue Star" I wintersowed it a couple or 3 yrs ago, not realizing it was a shrub-and now it needs to find a new home-It blooms in the spring-it's pretty Marcia-did the columbine I brought you live? I like having prearranged 'deals'too in addition to bringing my many extra iris, peony, and day lilly... I don't mind taking up anything I have, but if no one wants/needs them I won't dig.. looking forward to seeing everyone again... |

| I'm sad. I won't be able to make it. If you have any plants left over, let me know, and I will take some. |
| June 4th works great for me! Yay I'll start potting things :D And 10 am is fine with me. |
| Great - I will be there! and 10am works fine for me. I'll post a more specific list of what I'm bringing soon, but feel free to peek at my plants have list here on GW. It's fairly accurate to what I have. --Tina Yes, Alan is coming too! :) With food! |
| Here are some things I know I'll bring, I'll try to update my GW list Bachelor's Buttons |
| Count me in and 10 is fine. Just a thought...since most of us are 'seasoned' gardeners (so far anyway), and maybe not looking for or needing much (like me, Marcia, and flowerchildky/Linda) folks might want to check to see for sure there will be good homes for things that are brought...just a thought....but of course Dreamspirit will give some plants good homes. Maybe we should start a post on the 'Exchange side of the forum with subject line of something like June 4,2011 Louisville swap prearranged swaps/shares". Think? I hope to have various irises to bring...both named and NO ID ones, and not sure what all...I will be listing stuff later though to see if there is any interest before digging and potting stuff. | Linda, I would love some camomile, mint-spearmint and lemon bee balm-violet queen, columbine and Joe Pye weed if you have any left over. I can pick up from Marcia or from you. e-mail me after to let me know: scottiegirl74@yahoo.com Thanks, |
| Sue - I think that sounds great to put a prearrange thread up. Also, let's do what we can to bring some newbies in. I may just go through the KY members list and send out a recruiting email. (There are about 40 in KY....though I haven't checked the members for OH or IN. If someone might want to do those....I know it's a little random but might work!) |

| Only one more week. I hope we can drum up some more interest. Linda....I can't remember what color it was....I haven't noticed anything new....except a million baby maple trees...UGH> Hope to get them pulled by the swap. Marla Jo...anything you want I will save for you. If you remember my daughter, Molly, from past swaps. She is pregnant and due in about 7 weeks. Little boy...or should I say big boy. If you look at her from the back, you would not know she was pregnant, but when she turns around....WOW !!!! Maybe I can talk her into coming over and hanging out with us. |

| Linda...I don't think it did...so if you have a plant or two I will find a spot. |
| I'm in for sure. I have some daisies, coneflowers, rudbeckia, and monarda dug and in pots, as well as some yellow and deep purple/blue iris. If nobody wants them, I'll replant somewhere else in my yard, or donate to a friend's church's garden. I also have a lot of peat pots if anyone wants them. Now....I have some holly bushes in front of my house that I'm thinking of getting rid of. Does anyone want some? I have 2 that are about 2ft high and 2 ft wide, and 3 more that are a little larger. Please let me know if you want holly and I'll dig whatever you want. I am looking for some shade plants, especially those that don't grow very wide. I finally got rid of the creeping crud vines between my house and driveway (under the carport) and want to put some shade plants in there. A few of my other "wants:" Also, Linda, I will give your amsonia a home if nobody else wants it. There is one growing at a mailbox near where I live and I've always admired it :) Looking forward to seeing you guys! I'm trying to find a friend or two to come with me, but so far no definite takers. Jen |

| Hi Sue! Glad you could make it - I was wondering where you were :) I would love some of your: IF you can get to them. I know we're in the home stretch, so no worries if not. ********** Ok All, I just divided my New England Aster with an axe, and have one or two great rooted chunks available, and a few small parts that are slightly rooted but will need a little more tlc than a fully rooted plant. Let me know if you want any... Hollar if you want to make sure I bring these -- things that are potted up, but I may leave alot of it at home if no one wants them. (Have to post by 6:30am tomorrow morning to ensure.) yarrow white Nance -- I have you for one of the hollyhocks (small starts). Ok, off to axe-divide the Cup Plant now.... |
| Tina, I'd love any cup plant you have as it would go in a wooly area that I'm hoping to some day have in all native plants and have heard cup plant will reseed nicely, though mine in a cultivated area hasn't done that. I've heard it is hard to dig/move because of it having a very long taproot. I'm hoping to bring a strawberry desert. Who is making the brownies? Sue |
| Kilngod Dwarf Munstead Lavendar.. Rough comfrey Ageratum BurgPlum daylily Sue |
| Cup plant divided. Sue -- I planted mine in a very gravelly hard area that prevented deep rooting. Instead it built itself a woody knot and all the side roots. It's done great in that spot actually in the junkiest driest soil I have anywhere. (Has not spread sideways muchand I harvest the seeds so no volunteers thus far.) Sue - have cup plant for you. Others -- also have a few of the low creeping sedums potted up: --Tina
| Nance -- got those for you: Dwarf Munstead Lavendar |
| Adding to my list; I have 2 Red Hyacinth Bean vine. Nancy from Valley Station |

| Birdbath? (hopping up and down) me me me? And please Marcia, do you already have snowdrop anenomes? I'm always trying to find some cool thing for your shade. --Tina |
| Ha, mighta found it! I have a baby Bears Breaches (Acanthus mollis) which will take full shade, Marcia. Might you like that? (It gets pretty tall, and can be a little invasive....but is beautiful.) --Tina |
Here is a link that might be useful: Bear's Breaches Photos

| Ok, Iris Goodman is dug for Tina and Nance with probably some left over. Daylily Magic Quest is dug for Nance (Nancy and Kilngod/Tina I dug 3 nice starts of Yucca Bright Edge. Anyone want one? Off to dig NO ID Red Daylily (Nance)and the red peonies (Tina). Anyone else anything I have listed so far? Can/will also dig NO ID #5 Tall bearded iris and NO ID #13...white TB with a yellow beard NO ID #19 which is a peachy pink that is a reliable rebloomer. I'll only dig if I have requests. |
| If any NOID #19 (peachy pink rebloomer) or NOID #6 (yellow white frilly), I'd snag 'em in a heartbeat. if they get dug. no worries if not. (I have some of that Honey Glazed from you I think. It's dreamy.) |
| And I missed.... Yes! A start of that yucca bright edge. shoot, that's nice. :) --T |

| Whoo-Hoo...Marcia said she was making brownies...only 1 needs to, but if you both have them made, (and bring them) I'm sure they will get gone. I'll try to get the honey glazed for you...am surprised at you requesting it since you too are paring things down like I am. I may be a bit late, so I hope I don't miss nance/Nancy, with her goodies as she has been in a rush in years past. Hope I still have my directions and phone number for Marcia. Sue |
