Trees flowering in Northern Kentucky

Anyone know what the trees are that are blooming right now in Northern Kentucky? They are blooming with the honey locusts, but the blooms are lavender to dark pink. I know they have seed pods that look like a big almond. Any ideas? I did a dogpile search and couldn't find a thing. Tried the Horti section of gardenweb and couldn't find anything either.
I don't think they are part of the locusts family.

The blooms are trumpet shaped.

Post a picture. I looked in my native eastern u.s. tree book and couldn't find them.

I bet that tree is a Royal Paulownia. They have large catalpa-like leaves and the blooms are lavender or almost blue in color and appear on large upright clusters at the end of the branches only.
