Trees and Shrubs near Springfield/Dayton?

Is Columbus the closest place to go? Or are there nice nurseries/garden centers closer? I am looking for a particular yew for the foundation, a dogwood, and some other shrubs, not sure yet, maybe Itea or Symphocarpos. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm a perennial shopper myself, but I believe Meadow View Growers on 235 near New Carlisle has trees & shrubs. If not, Scarf's is just south of there. Also there's a nice garden center just north of Yellow Springs on RT. 68,on the east side of the road, that I belive have trees & shrubs, unfortunately I can't think of the name of the place at the moment. Since you mentioned Springfield first, I assumed you are closer to there than Dayton. If not let me know because there are a number of places in Dayton.

I'm going to try to find the post I asked about stewartia and stuff because lots of folks put some good stuff in there.....

some information from what others told me

I just happened to think...now mind you, I am a newcomer to the area, but I WAS fairly impressed with Andy's in Troy....I didn't think the prices were too bad and they had some interesting stuff. Here's the link to the original post and to the other one. I'm hoping to take notes on the responses as well.

The most useful one is probably this one...but I can't figure out how to post a second link....Maybe I"ll just bring it back.

Meadow View has limited, if any, trees and shrubs, Scarffs is no longer open for retail, the place just north of Yellow Springs is Stutzmans or something along that line of spelling. Spring Hill in Tipp City has a good selection of trees & shrubs(was just there a few days ago). Siebenthalers in Beavercreek(Beaver Valley Rd) has a good selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and tropicals. If you head over to Columbus - Oakland Park Garden Center is almost overwhelming with all the stock they have on display and their prices are in-line.
