Magnolia Coral Lake?

Posted by Michigoose Z6OH (My Page) on

Has anyone seen this in real life and developed an opinion? I'm contemplating this as one of my back yard trees....but I am wary from anything I see in a Wayside Catalog...and has anyone seen it in a nursery around here? I found one listed as a 1" caliper b/b for $180.....Essentially English Nursery....any suggestions are appreciated.

RE: Magnolia Coral Lake?

I have a Coral Lake. It finally bloomed this spring after having been in the ground for 4 years. I t is a fairly nice shaped tree and a fast grower. I was a bit disapointed in the flower color. I would call it more of a washed out pink than coral color. I have always had good luck with Wayside.. Granted, their prices and shipping are expensive but I have always recieved healthy plants . Trees shipped are usually pretty small but are healthy. Usually only purchase hard to find items.
