Is it too early for chicory?

I've seen it in white, and a pale, pale, washed-out pink, but the most common is the blue.

It might be Dames Rocket (Hesperis matronalis),although the flowers are pinkish-purple or white,not blue.

It is hesperis. I thought it was a good idea to get some of these lovely flowers. Not now!!!! It's an invasive weed!

Yes it's an alien invader,but I still like it and actually planted some in my yard.I won't let it spread though,and in the right spot it can be a manageable species that attracts butterflies and probably bees.

i find hesperis attractive too and have grown it in my gardens in years past from seed. it wasnt invasive though and they only lasted a couple years. i could have weeded them up by mistake though lol

hesperis is no more an invasive weed than goldstrum black-eyed susans. And dames rocket is a heck of a lot more attractive.
