Anyone interested in a 10' tall Autumn Lilac?

The catch is -- you gots to come and dig it up yourself.

I bought this Heptacodium miconioides also known as Seven Son flower, for something like $30 three years ago -- then my landlord decided to let his brother plant in the corner I'd okayed with him. Grrrrr. So I just plopped it where I could, and it's done pretty well.

I'm getting ready to move next month, to a place with an even smaller garden, so I can't take this sucker with me. and I know my landlord and his broither will probably just cut it down. (It's close to the telephone wires as it is.)

It's a pretty shrub, with lovely little flowers in late summer, and peeling bark for winter interest.

Let me know if you're interested in coming and getting it -- it deserves a good home!

Alison, I sent you a couple of PMs, did you get them?

I would take it, if it is not too big for me to dig, & if it is not too late.

No, I didn't get them!

I've moved out of the apartment, but I will be going back Friday morning (09/04) to dig up some plants -- give me a call at the station and let me know if it's possible for you to come and get it then.

Alison, I didn't get home in time to call you at the station. But I work tomorrow morning anyway & couldn't get there until after 4pm.

My other message was about soil amendment--remember I was going to call you when I got my truckload of chopped leaves--Up at Thomas Worthington HS, in the lot behind the pool, is a pile of spent mulch free for the taking. It is fairly well broken down, has some sand & roots & lumps of clay mixed in which I just pick out & it is nice stuff to dig into our clay. Don't know how much longer it will be there; still there this afternoon. I've gotten several carloads of it.

do you work Saturday? I will try to call you then--I will be out of town though after Sunday.
