Aaak! Japanese Beetles!

Have they shown up at your houses yet? I'm in and out all day long with a glove on one hand and container of soapy water in the other knocking these beasties off my plants. I know the neighbors are laughing. The last garden I had was in Arkansas...no Japanese beetles there yet, so I'd kind of forgotten about them. What a nighmare!

The numbers have dropped off (fingers crossed) since the first couple of days. Probably drowned about 10 or less today. They really like my Yoshino cherry and the cone flowers. Good luck keeping yours away.

I used to have 30 plus roses but when the beetles came the roses went by the wayside and I got into daylilies. The only thing a Japanese bettle uses a daylily for is to take a nap on the petals. I noticed several yesterday. Janet
