| What is it with this year? The rains or something? I turned my back on my garden for just a day or two and everything is choked with weeds in the back.
I went back yesterday morning and literally shrieked. |

| Weeds here really taking over here too. In my case, the worse of them are "creeping" through my fence from my neibors property. I've cut back most of it, but if I don't watch it, all the weeds start to creep back into my beds from under the fence or go to seed and drop on my side. We had a few wet days first part of this week and then it's been fairly hot, so I'm thinking if I don't get out there in the next few days I'll have to don the ole pith helmet. Good luck!! |

| Here also, I just weeded because I was having company to show off my gardens, two days later company came and sure enough the weeds were almost taller then the flowers especially the crab grass that I am really fighting this year and thistles. I have been fighting the thistle problem for 2 years and I finally thought I had them whipped, but oh no they won the battle again this year by coming back bigger then ever. It's the middle of July and I am tried of weeding, let them grow I keep telling myself, the flowers are so much prettier to look at so now I just pretend that the weeds aren't there. JoAnn |

| I'm in Cincinnati and my flower beds are being taken over by creeping spurge, ground ivy, mushrooms and more! I don't even bother with the mushrooms since they'll just break down and feed my soil. But the weeds! Good Lord. With all this hot and humid weather, they are just going crazy. It's driving me up the wall. On the other hand, my ferns look fantastic! :) (This weekend, it is supposed to be upper 80s to 90, but the humidity should drop. Hallelujah!) |

| Me Too!!! Yikes...the weeds are looking "fantastic". At least with this rain I can pull them out. I am having the Garden Club here for a potluck...so I am primping. Weed o rama, indeed!!! The creeping charlie (ground ivy) is just making me crazy. |

| I too am hosting my gardening group this week. I hope they aren't too shocked. It's a mess. I found a huge (maybe 6 foot tall) weed, poison hemlock I think, hiding behind my hydrangea. It's times like this that make me wonder if putting in another bed is a good idea. -Lisa |
