Dusty Miller turning green

The 2 Dusty Miller plants I just got are turning green. I planted them about a week ago. They are in full sun and I believe they have gotten enough water from the rains we have had. The soil seems ok. I even added some garden soil around them when I planted them. There are lambs ear in the same area as them and they are doing well. I gave 2 of the 4 pack to my Dad who planted them where there is more shade and his 2 plants are doing a lot better than mine. His 2 even are forming some type of bud on top. Any ideas on what I should do? Too much sun maybe?
