Cincinnati Nurseries

I've posted a message like this before but I just thought I'd see if anyone had anymore info about nurseries/garden centers in the Cincinnati metro area that have good selection of trees/shrubs/perennials--- rare and unusual plants. I'll be traveling there next week and would appreciate if anyone could help.

Thanks Again,
Don

Just North of Kings Island in Loveland. Very nice selection.

Loveland is very south of Kings island.

I'm sure that was a slip - Lebanon is just north of Kings Island:)

I'm sure this is a lot late, but should you find yourself here again check out Greenfields plant farm- perennial specialists and the widest selection of perennials, shrubs, hosta that I have come across. They are located on Steven's Rd in Mainville, I believe that would be North-North east of King's Island(I'm a bit geographically challenged so checking a map is always a good idea)

Also north of Kings Island, near the other nurseries mentioned, is Marvin's Organic Gardens. Quite a lot of unusual and rare stuff there. Just south of Mason on Route 42.

If you're coming back this way September 17-19 and 25-26, Natorp's Wholesale Nursery Outlet Sale is a great draw. They're advertising 30,000 trees and shrubs and 125,000 containerized perennials. It's cash only, carry if you want, delivery if you want, delivered and planted if you want. I missed it this year, but I've started a list this year and circled the dates!

Any places with a good selection of good sized Magnolia grandiflora (BBB, EB, others?).

Bzaks on roundbottom road in milford near the nature center has a great selection of trees and shrubs and will special order for you too. they are first a wholesaler but will happily charge a retail customer a higher price. < smiles >
they have 2 retail prices... one with a one yr guarantee and a lower one sold with no guarantee... its up to you if the difference in price is worth the guarantee.
they are oriented more towards the landscaper who doesnt require much help but they are very friendly and will let you wander around as much as you like and will answer questions.
