Do you garden for Butterflies??

Hi, I am interested to know if very many of the gardeners here in the Ohio Valley do much gardening for the Butterflies?

I have been planting host and nectar plants for the BFs for about 4 years with more success some years than others. But I have to say that this summer the butterfly visitors seem few and far between here in the Ohio River Valley, and I've reached a new low count this summer.

So I'm wondering if you all have the same observations? And how things are going with your butterflies?

same observation here in the cincinnati area- very few butterflies so far this summer - maybe because of the cooler weather and rain? hoping they will come in August...and especially hoping for our beautiful monarchs to return!!!!

I am Northwest of Columbus. I have seen very few butterflies. Have seen a few Monarchs recently. And had my first Sulpher today. I blame the cool weather. Hoping for more action as the weather is warmer and drier.

Most disappointed there have been no Monarch caterpillars.
