Master Gardeners here?

I'm curious to know if any ohio/kentucky master gardeners frequent this forum.

Last week, I called for the Hamilton county master gardener class (started yesterday) but couldn't attend because it is held all day on Thursdays. (I have to work.) I'm going to plan on using vacation days to take the class in Sept 06.

So...what do the local master gardeners have to say about the classes and the association in general?

I'm in that MG class you mentioned, so you can say I'm a Master Gardener in training! My mother is also a Master Gardener and stops by every so often, even tho she lives in Northern Ohio.

I don't know if you live in Hamilton County, but Clermont county also has a Master Gardener course that I beleive starts first of the year. It may be worth looking into.

i have been a Master Gardener for several years. the courses are not too hard but you do have to pay attention and try to learn the stuff < smiles >
i was certified in hamilton county but now i just belong to the state of ohio master gardeners. i'd love to participate in the local association monthly meetings but i live a good distance from them so its a long drive round trip to attend and between my full time day job and my design work and garden maintenance on the side i find it hard to make time to attend the meetings. i know i am missing out on lots of fun and some very good gardening friendships though!! < pout pout >
