Check out Lose Brothers sales across from the mall. Prices are about half of what I normally expect. He has just set up in the vacant filling station across from the mall where Galyans use to be. My wife and I have realy loaded up on some good plants cheap.

I have found many nurseries have sales in the fall. Thieneman's and Wallitsch's have big ones early in September. I bought a few 4" pots and herbs at Thieneman's. They were $1 each.

yes many nurseries have fall sales to clear out old merchandise.
This sale was not old stock. It was brought in especially for the sale. I am new to garden web and didntr want to step over any bounds when making my listing , so I didn't mention the name of the Nursery running the sale. It is Bill Lose and like wallitsch and thieneman is a name I remember from the nursery business some 50 plus years ago.
Some of the items my wife and I bought were Miss Kim Lilacs 3 gallon pots for 17.00, Knock out roses for about the same price, 3 gallon pot rhodies for 24 and 1 gallon azaleas for 5.00.
It was also interesting to see 4000 dollar japanese maples being unloaded to be sold out of an old filling station.

I havbe no idea why Bill is doing this maybe his Nursery up in Sellersburg isnt doing well
