| Hello! I am new to gardening and in my excitement, I just purchased several types of bulbs (tulips, allium, muscari)...I live in Central Ohio and it's been in the 90s here lately...is it too warm to plant these bulbs? Should I wait until next month or just go ahead and plant them?
Also, is it better to plant bulbs after a rain or when the ground is dry? We just bought our first house and it's basically a blank slate for me to work with:) Thanks! |

| I'd wait myself. I don't usually plant till November. I find it easier to plant when the ground is wet and therefore soft. Enjoy your gardening! Make sure you take steps to keep the squirrels from getting the tulips (chicken wire, or Repellex Bulb Saver, for example.) |
