I was wondering how well pom's will do here. Do our winters kill them?

They are right on the edge of our hardiness zone. Most pomegranates are hardy to zone 7. But if you really wanna grow one, I'd look around for an especially hardy cultivar and mulch well in the winter!

you might try treating them like a fig-- in and out of the garage for winter and the growing season in a container

I live in Frazier park ca . I bought a pomagranet tree (bare root) . Planted it 2/12months ago still no life on it. Gets to b 20-30 in winter. Starting to warm up now. Green to the nail gouge in the trunk. Can somebody advise me of what I'm doing wrong?
