Those look like my phlox. I don't know the name of the variety. I got a start from my MIL who said it was at her house when they bought it in the 60's.

I never stake mine up because they never fall over. My MIL taught me to pinch the centers out of the tops when they first start budding out. That makes the plants bushier instead of top heavy.

I could be wrong...photos are always hard, but that looks like sweet rocket to me (very invasive). If it blooms before late June, I'd say Sweet Rocket.

Someone in the general forum explained that if the flowers had 4 petals, the plant was rocket for sure--she said Dame's Rocket, but I've looked online and the alternate name is Sweet Rocket. She advised that it was an invasive plant too, and that I should rip it out. I'll watch it closely for a little while and then probably "rip away!" Thanks for you response.

I have those flowers. They were in the bed on the side of the house when we bought the place. I rip lots out each year and each year they come right back. I try to make sure they don't strangle out the other plants in the area. They are pretty though.

I've heard that they're invasive, too - but I've planted them anyway. Call me a daredevil (or a fool). They smell wonderful (heaviest at night), and they are quite pretty! I guess you just have to decide you love them enough to rip out extras each year - or relocate them to an area you can let them be a bit prolific. Or - give them away to an unsuspecting friend ;) They are so pretty, in my humble opinion. BTW - I had to stake mine up, too. I might try the pinching method next time.
