Hi guys,
My wife and I recently moved to Oklahoma, so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the vegetation here. When we bought our house, there was an enormous (10+ ft. tall) bush growing in the front lawn. I chopped the sucker down, but now I'm afraid I have spawned a thousand little mini-bushes...because now I'm having to pull up these green leafy stalks that pop up in my flower bed every single day. Occasionally, I'll pull one up along with its root, which is very thick & appears to be broken off from the main bush I hacked down months ago. Can anyone please help me identify what this hardy plant might be and offer up suggestions as to how I might be able to kill it off? The trunk of this bush is still in the ground. Would treating this trunk with a stump killer jeopardize my entire flower bed? I have attached a picture of one of these aggressive little stalks.
