 o
Red Flag Fire Warning Sun-SW thru SC OK

The Norman weather office of the NWS has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for Sunday for several counties in SW through SC OK, particularly along the Red River, and for some of the western North Texas counties that are covered by the Norman weather office.

The webpage of the National Weather Service is linked below and you can click on any county color coded in hot pink to see that county's page and read the text of the Red Flag Fire Warning for that county. In the county I checked, the Red Flag Fire Warning was in effect from noon through 6 p.m. today.

If you have young seedlings outside, remember that their vegetation is very tender and easily can suffer from windburn if the wind speeds mentioned in the fire warning materialize. I usually move my seedlings to a place out of the wind on days when the wind is supposed to be gusting in the 30s.
