The last 2 winters I've been trying to grow Chayote squash.

Last year I had a great start. Growing it in the dark it was so big I thought it needs water. On line it said put it in a vase with water and I did and it grew great.
Time to plant in dirt. It lasted about a week in a good pot in scotts growing dirt and died.

Pisd me off. started around the same time this year with better looking squash.
1 is already with a 1 half foot vine the other I kept in a cave for a while just starting with a 2 inch vine.

water roots on the big one what do i do?
