Sand Springs, OK 23rd Annual Herbal Affair & Festival
Rain or Shine! Spring was in the air, on the ground and in the hands of thousands of visitors who descended on Sand Springs, April 16, 2011 for the 22nd Annual Herbal Affair & Festival, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 90 vendors brought herbs, perennials, natives, and heirlooms plants, along with herbal products, gardening supplies and folk art to the heart of Sand Springs giving visitors a taste of spring fever. Also, included was delicious food vendors served up Amish, Greek, Italian, Cajun, Indian, along with plenty of American cuisine. What began in 1989 as a small downtown street sale has grown to attract some 30,000 people and spurred other communities to host similar events. However, the Sand Springs Herbal Affair & Festival remains the "queen" as the largest, and most respected, in the state. The 22nd Annual Herbal Affair & Festival is now a wonderful memory with a picture perfect day. Many of our vendors stated this was one of their best shows. Thanks to the all volunteers who helped make this Herbal Affair such a success! Mark your calendar for next year:
I've been attending this Herb Fest since 2001.

| I am going to meet my cousin at the band stand in the central area. If you want to join us, we can arrange to meet you there. Just let me know. We can set the time as it draws closer to the date. If you have a little garden wagon or Garden Buddy, bring it. I will be bringing mine. Makes things a lot easier. There is so much to look at and BUY! ~Annie |
