I am so far south that I can't tell you where you'd find chamomile seed in bulk in your part of the state, but it doesn't take a very big packet of seed to cover an area. Your average seed packet from a nursery probably would have 500-1000 seeds, although recent experience indicates that packets at big box stores do not have that many seeds in them any more. Chamomile seeds are very, very tiny so you probably should mix them with some sand while sowing so you don't have too many plants too close together. I only had to plant chamomile once and then it vigorously reseeded itself, which is one more thing to love about it.

If you want a really, really nice chamomile-type path or border or cover crop, I'd suggest something like Peaceful Valley Farm Supply's chamomile-wildflower mix. It is intended as a lawn replacement and you can use it in pathways, etc. for a lovely, low-growing carpet of flowering plants that get 4"-12" tall and attract pollinators and beneficial insects. It tolerates foot traffic and mowing and having pathways of it is sort of like having a mini-wildflower meadow.

I've linked Peaceful Valley Farm Supply below. You MIGHT find a similar mix if you have a nursery or farm supply company that reallycaters to organic growers. Sometimes you'll see a similar mix sold as a "bug-attracting" or "bee-attracting" border. I don't really have that kind of place near me, so I just order online. Peace Valley, by the way, has all kinds of cover crop and green manure crop seeds available in sizes from very small to very large (of course, large would cost a lot for shipping charges).
