It's true. I cannot go to the store and see the piles of near-worthless foods sitting on the gondolas. I can't learn fast enough, either. I'm too old for this!

Due to health issues and serious food intolerances I have been forced to relearn how to eat. The other day I commented to a co worker " I am craving cabbage"
Definitely not something I would have said 5 years ago.
We cant avoid all the dangers but do what we can and gardening is the best thing I have ever done for my health.

I teach in a high school, and my students do not garden. Some seem to be very health conscious, but I think it is interesting that few students know how to set a table. When I ask (in Spanish) "Where do you put the fork?" (knife, spoon, plate, etc.) They say in the napkins. They don't ever sit down to eat with their family except for holidays. They indicate that they eat out everyday.

I am showing my age, I know. But I wish the family would sit down to eat more. That was very important in my family - the one I grew up in and my personal family. However, my kids are just as bad as everyone else.
