A couple of seasons ago I saw them make one of these on the Victory Garden. I think they are so cool!! It didn't look that hard (hahaha, the magic of television!)

Yeah, Jamie Durie did it with Bougainvilla. Seemed like every time I flipped the channel to Victory Garden on Saturday it was Jamie Durie making that same trellis over and over and over again. Must be why it's no longer running on PBS. Once the folks on the original Victory Garden were booted it was never the same show anyway. I loved Roger, in his overalls and straw hat. He didn't have an ounce of presumption in him.......

I miss roger too. I learned so much from him. I only watched once or twice after they ruined it.

At the National Gallery they have trumpet vine planted in pots with umbrella-like trellises like this. The regular invasive red-orange kind. It was gorgeous.
