Bon, it is my understanding that they can be difficult to separate/divide because of their root. They grow very easy from seed. I bring plants every year to the swap that self seed themselves into my paths :)

There is a virus or some issue that has attacked my other echinaceas. So be aware that could happen.

ohhhh, look how pretty they are! They make good cut flowers, if you cut them, stick them in a vase!

Towards the end of summer, let some go to seed so you will have a batch of seed to start more with.

I've always loved echinacea, but just planted it for the first time this year. Didn't realize I needed to save seed to start more. I thought they just came back! Is that not correct?

Yes. They do overwinter and come back. But if ya want more of them, according to Lisa, it's best to save some of the seed or let them reseed.
