The garden's little pleasures.

TotemWolf

I have been out in the garden weeding this afternoon, not one of the more pleasurable jobs there is. While doing so I found a toad that had made a home in my pumpkin patch. As I work through the next roughly half of the vegetable garden I counted at least a dozen ladybugs. Now as sit on the porch typing this I am watching a mockingbird fly from the blackberry tressil to the tomato cages and back grabbing bugs as he goes and singing at each stop.
One of the things I love best about gardening is that no matter how mundane or unenjoyable the task at hand there are always those little pleasures that make it more than worth the effort.
