I never uncovered mine today because I use floating row cover/agricultural fabric to cover them and it allows light and air penetration so that you can leave it on for a prolonged period if you wish. It is the best garden investment I've ever made.

Read Lee's (wxcrawler) post on next week's cold front before you replant....and keep in mind there may be a need to cover up the plants again.

This recurring cold front thing this late in the season is getting tedious.

I've had my overnight lows drop as low as 18 degrees lower than forecast in spring, so I tend to cover up my tomato plants anytime our forecast low is for 40 or lower. I think my worst forecast 'fail' this year was when we had a forecast low of 32 and went down to 23. I didn't have tomato plants in the ground then....they still were in the greenhouse....but I did cover up my potatoes and onions and it was a good thing because people near me who didn't cover theirs had their potatoes freeze back to the ground.

Had a hard frost North of Tahlequah this morning. Fortunately our tender plants were covered.
