Congrats! I love it!

I'd like to point out that Nature and I only got you started....you're the one who grew the plant and kept it protected and watered and mulched so that it could produce a tomato. Now, I hope it is the first of hundreds of fruit that you get this year.

I am going to think positive and believe that the worst weather you're going to see all year already has hit your garden and things will only get better from this point forth. Let's think of the first Terenzo tomato as a sign that from this point forward, there ain't nothing but good times ahead. Woo hoo!

You know, if you cut that tomato into thirds, each of you can have a little bite....but maybe your child isn't a tomato eater yet at such a young age, so the two of you can each have a bigger bite.

We cut up our first few small tomatoes a few weeks ago and mixed them in with guacamole to make them go farther. Now we have three nice-sized tomatoes sitting on top of the microwave, destined for BLT sandwiches in a couple more days as soon as they are fully red and ripe. Once they start trickling in, you know, the trickle turns into a tomato flood before you know it.

If a massive hail storm wipes out your garden, I have 3 back-up plants clinging to life in pots too small for them in the greenhouse and we could meet y'all in Paul's Valley again. You CANNOT go all summer without fresh tomatoes. It would be un-American.
