I enjoyed; thanks so much for sharing. Brings to mind paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe, whom I love. What camera & settings do you use to get such detail so close?

Thanks everyone.
Carol, For macros of flowers,I use a cannon g9 with an adaptor tube and macro lens. The camera is not very new, but I love it. If I'm trying to photograph birds or butterflies, I use my slr with a telephoto lens (Tamrom75-300mm). Camera settings vary depending on lighting ect.
By the way I love Georgia O'Keeffe also, her work is gorgeous.

lisak,
Nice macros! I love macros and telephotos... I am not pro, but keep exploring new tips and tricks.

I have shared some pics of backyard birds taken this season... you can also see some macros in Garden2010 (https://picasaweb.google.com/c.biradar/Garden2010#)

Cheers -Chandra

Wonderful photos Chandra. Birds and insects can be such a challenge, but the effort is well worth the outcome. Thanks so much for sharing.
