Lots of blackberries!

It seems to be a great year for wild blackberries here. Yesterday two of us picked almost 5 gallons in an hour and a half, and they are juicier and sweeter than I remember from past years. Now I'm struggling to deal with that many berries in a short amount of time-- but that's a good problem to have!

It is a good wild blackberry year here and I noticed they bloomed really early too, and the blooms and young berries withstood the late frosts. Enjoy all those berries!

I made a couple of pies, and the rest are going into the freezer. It's tempting to pick more while they are so available --- but I'm afraid my whole freezer would be filled up with blackberries.

You can put some in my freezer if you run out of room. Not that I would guarantee there would be any left if you can back to get them. :)
