Generally one can pretty well devastate aphids with a strong jet of water, sprayed from a garden hose directly on the leaves of the plant (and under the leaves if possible). They fall off and the majority can't find their way back up before dying of hunger or from predators. I bet that would work for you. You could repeat the treatment in a day or two, if necessary.

George is right; strong spray of water and using your fingers to swipe the aphids off.

Orange aphids, or Oleander aphids, are typical on milkweed plants. I don't try to get all the aphids because Ladybugs will arrive, if aphids are present, to clean up the population. I just got thru tidying up the milkweed, and noticed a Ladybug working a plant - yea!

The aphids, while unsightly, won't kill the plants. Another thing I noticed was was a track of filaments suspending little white eggs on each tip - tons of them - Green Lacewing eggs. When they hatch, the larvae, or aphid lions, will go to work consuming them.
