sweet potato slips blooming.

I grow an ornamental sweet potato each year because it blooms so well. I use it more for a ground cover and to attract pollinators because the potatoes don't taste as well as the others.

Like all of you I start and plant more plants than I need. I have pulled over 30 slips from these potatoes and just left the rest to die on the porch to be fed to the compost pile. After seeing them this morning trying so hard to live and bloom, I think I will plant them in a pile of shavings and see what happens.
